James Doran & Daughters Ltd. is a family run business
located in Carnew, Co. Wicklow which is on the
Wexford/Wicklow border.
Local man James has many years of first-hand experience in
the life, pensions and investment business, being a Tied
Agent of New Ireland Assurance Company plc for Life and Pension business
in the Gorey office since 1993. In July 2000 James
formed his own personal financial services company whilst
also remaining a Tied Agent with New Ireland Assurance, James
Doran & Daughters Ltd., to service his mortgage business.
James is still a Tied Agent and believes strongly in the
products and their reputation.
“Being locals, Carnew was the ideal
place to set up,” says James. “We were eager to
provide the people of our local town with a professional yet
personal financial advice service.”
Phillippa, his daughter, then joined the company in 2004,
having previously worked in Commercial Lending at Bank of
Scotland (Ireland) Ltd. She is also a Tied Agent of New
Ireland Assurance and a Qualified Financial Advisor and can
therefore, provide professional advice on personal finance, life cover, pensions, savings and investments.
Esther, his daughter, also joined the business in 2009 having
previously worked in Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Ltd. &
Halifax. She has an Honours Degree in Business Studies and
brings with her a wealth of experience from her 8 years in
banking.
Since 2009 the business also provides General Insurance
and this has proven to be a great asset to the town
of Carnew and surrounding areas not only for its great
prices but also for the convenience it brings to the
clients.
